Assessment #3
The first unexpected encounter occurred on my second drift. On this walk, I was taking photographs and I was jumped by two kids and my camera was stolen. After this, I was much more cautious and less carefree later on when I did my second drift over again. The second surprise arose on the second drift. As I was walking around my neighborhood, I began to notice graffiti and other artwork that was done on the buildings. I began to notice that what I previously thought of as just spray painting, I noticed beautiful art pieces that decorated around my neighborhood. The last surprise I found was how loud the city was and how it would hinder my collection of sounds other than the sounds of cars. I constantly found myself going into neighborhoods or other areas with no traffic to hinder my collection of sounds.
