Assessment #4
My favorite experience occurred on the first drift. As I was listening to sounds and walking down the block, I noticed the sounds of a man shoveling. I stood still for a minute and closed my eyes to better listen to the repetitive sound of shoveling. I thought about how I despised shoveling. As I was stuck in my thoughts, a large dog had run up to the fence without me noticing. The dog barked ferociously and set the volume levels beyond the norm; I jumped and quickly was out of my trance. I scuffled away quickly. This is my favorite because it shows how sounds can be tranquil and peaceful; however, sounds can quickly change and shake that peacefulness.
